OBERMEYER at 2017 MIECF

The 2017 Macao International Environmental Co-operation Forum and Exhibition (2017MIECF) was held at the Venetian Macao-Resort-Hotel with the theme “Innovative Green Development for a Sustainable Future” from Mar 30th to Apr 1st, 2017. People from environmental protection and government representatives as well as experts gathered together in Macao to discuss the most urgent environmental issues, and to share the latest development regarding environmental protection information and technologies.

Mr. Christopher Knabe, Vice General Manager of OBERMEYER China and Head of Shanghai Office, delivered a speech on Green Buildings of Eco-Cities in China at the Green Forum – The Ways to Drive Higher Performance in Green Buildings. It focused on innovative and cutting-edge technology and strategies for low-energy green buildings that will benefit cities due to lower carbon emission and sustainability. How innovation in conceptualizing design and energy performance in buildings were discussed so as to reduce carbon emissions and enhance transition towards green city.

A total of 55 environmental protection specialists and activists, leaders of multinational companies and key influencers from China, the United States, Australia, Brazil, the United Kingdom, Japan, Portugal, Thailand and other countries joined in-depth discussions on a range of topics. The goal of enhancing regional exchange on environmental issues was fulfilled, fully delivering on Macao’s role as a platform for cooperation and exchange between the Pan-Pearl River Delta Region and international markets – with particular reference to the environmental sector in Mainland China and Portuguese-speaking countries – thus facilitating cooperation and development among international environmental protection enterprises.
